About the cat lounge experience

  • Yes, we highly recommend making a reservation for our cat lounge experience due to limited capacity in the cat lounge (8 spots per hour). You can make a reservation here. We accept walk-ins if there are available spots, but reservations are a guarantee you can mingle with our furry friends!

  • We understand things come up, and you can reschedule or cancel your appointment via your booking email confirmation up to 24 hours in advance of your original appointment day/time. Refunds will cover the ticket price only, but will not include credit/debit card processing fees. We will not be able to reschedule/refund you if it is less than 24 hours in advance.

  • Potentially yes! If you see 1 spot available and have only 1 additional guest (for a total of 2 people in your party), please call our cafe to confirm availability. Then you can book the 1 spot online and we can manually pay for the 2nd spot in-person.

  • If you aren’t able to click into today’s date (or any date that is grayed out), that means this day is fully booked, and there are no available spots for this specific day. Please find a different date/time that has the number of spots available as the number of guests in your party.

  • There is street parking on The Alameda and neighboring streets of the cat cafe as well as limited parking space in front of CAFFE:iN and Casa en el Aire.

    Please note resident permit parking only signs on certain streets (do not park here). We recommend planning to arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure you can find parking (and order any drinks/pastries prior to your cat lounge experience)!

  • The number of cats will fluctuate depending on availability with the rescue organizations we partner with and how many cats get adopted out, but we will typically house 8-12 cats at at a time in our cat lounge.

  • There will be up to 8 guests in the cat lounge per hour, as we want to make sure each customer gets to spend quality time with the cats in a relaxing environment. We also want to minimize the stress level for the cats.

  • Yes, children 5 and older are allowed into the cat lounge, as we believe this is a good opportunity to teach children how to interact with and experience the joy of cats. There will need to be one adult (18+) per two children 12 and under to supervise and ensure a safe environment for both guests and cats. Each adult and each child will need their own pass to be inside the cat lounge.

  • No, we are now providing shoe covers for guests to slip on prior to entering the cat lounge. We want to ensure a healthy environment for our feline friends.

  • Yes! Our cafe drinks and pastries are allowed to be consumed in our cat lounge. See our drink menu here. Pastries are also sold daily in partnership with local bakeries. Please check in-store for offerings! Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside our cat lounge.

  • We ask that you would please refrain from feeding the cats to maintain their health; however, during certain times of the day, we may let customers feed a few cat treats that we will provide 🙂

  • No, please keep your own cat at home (which is probably what your cat wants anyways). Nabi Cat Cafe is a place for rescue cats looking for their forever homes.

About the cats

  • Likely it will be a mix of both - cats typically sleep up to 16 hours per day, but they will be curious to see all the humans stopping by throughout the day. Cats are crepuscular creatures, meaning they will be more active at dawn and dusk. We recommend visiting in the morning and early afternoons before 2pm to see more social and playful cats. If you’re more interested in a relaxing, take-a-nap or read-a-book type of vibe, we recommend visiting after 2pm. They also may or may not have an additional burst of energy at 5pm till closing time, but it’ll depend on the amount of playtime they received from the earlier guests!

  • We are fortunate to partner with Scritch Kittens and Kitten Rescue 101, 501(c)(3) rescue organizations, to essentially be a foster home for cats. All cats housed at Nabi Cat Cafe are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to be adopted.

  • All cats at our cafe will be adoptable! You can check out which adorable cats are currently staying at our cafe on the adoptable cats page.

  • Wonderful! Firstly, please visit the adoptable cats page to select the specific cat you are interested in and learn more about the adoption process and pricing. After filling out an online adoption application, the rescue organziation wil interview you and key members of your household to ensure that everyone is happy with the commitment required. If it seems to be a good match, they’ll schedule a time you can take the cat directly from Nabi Cat Cafe to your loving home. We currently do not offer same-day adoptions.

About us

  • Cat cafes have been gaining traction in the US market, but are numerous and established in Asia. Cat cafes are a safe space for cats of all breeds and ages to relax and interact with visiting human guests.

    While not all cat cafes have the adoption concept, Nabi Cat Cafe’s mission is to partner up with a local rescue organization to focus on helping rescue cats have a second chance in life. We hope many who visit our cafe fall in love with the cuddly felines and become their forever compawnion (or servants 👀).

  • “Nabi” (nah-bee) directly translates to “butterfly” in Korean, but is also a commonly used nickname in Korea for cats found on the streets. This is similar to how we would say “Fido” in English as a substitute name if we don’t know the individual dog’s name.

  • We are currently not hiring any roles at the moment; however, you are more than welcome to email your resume along with a brief description of yourself to info@nabicatcafe.com. We will keep your resume on file and reach back out if there is a potential fit in the future.

  • Yes! We have volunteer opportunities through our partner 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organizations, Scritch Kittens and Kitten Rescue 101. Please fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering.

  • Yes, you definitely can order drinks (and pastries when available) to-go! You can walk in and order at our front cafe. Preview our drink menu here.

  • Yes, we do offer both digital and physical gift cards! Please visit our gift cards page to find out more details and purchase an online gift card. If you prefer to give a physical gift card, you can pick up a card at our cafe.

  • Yes! We offer private parties in our cat lounge, perfect for your next special gathering: birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, graduation parties, pop-up events, team happy hours, team bonding events, and more! Our private events can accommodate up to 14 guests ($60 per person for a 2-hour event). A minimum of 9 guests or $480 flat fee is required to reserve. Your booking includes exclusive lounge access, complimentary drinks, Polaroid photos, and treats for the cats. For more details or to book, please fill out the form on our private events page.

  • Visiting our cat lounge is the best form of support for us, as the ticket sales help fund our cat haven, and the human interaction is fantastic for our cats in need of love. We also have merchandise that is available for purchase in-store. Additionally, word of mouth is the most invaluable resource for us - we humbly ask to share your experience with friends & family and post on social media to spread more awareness on the joy of cats, with the goal of finding more cats their forever homes!
